If you’re a fan of Elvis Presley (or good music in general), you probably enjoy hearing different versions of classic Rock n’ Roll songs. Even better if the covers are unexpectedly good. Talent shows, such as the one you’re about to watch, are the best place to find new, fresh voices singing the classics we all love.

You may believe that a talent show is a novel way to discover new talent, but this is not the case. Even Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Christina Aguilera, and Beyoncé appeared on the 1990s television show “Stars Search,” where they began their successful careers.

Furthermore, a slew of music stars descended from various singing competitions. The X Factor U.K. made Leona Lewis, One Direction, Little Mix, and James Arthur famous. Fifth Harmony was formed on The X Factor in the United States, while Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Lambert began their careers on American Idol, and so on.

Although the most well-known stars so far have come from the United Kingdom and the United States, other countries have incredible talent as well. Benedikt Köstler, who was 16 at the time of his audition for The Voice, is one of those contestants. With his impressive performance, he drew the judges’ and audience’s attention.

Benedikt took the stage with a neat outfit and a freshly done hairstyle, as if he were a typical adolescent. Benedikt’s voice was deeper than anyone had expected, and he sang “Always on My Mind,” a song by Elvis Presley.

He hasn’t even been singing for 10 seconds when the audience erupts in applause, and he has also captured the judges’ attention. He receives his first “I want you” from the judge within the same minute, as the audience continues to applaud his performance.

The second judge presses “I want you,” which causes her chair to turn toward Benedikt, and she can’t help but be surprised when she sees how he looks, which doesn’t match his voice! Benedikt’s face and movements now reflect his confidence and happiness, and he begins playing with high notes that impress the other judges as well, and he receives the maximum four votes!

Benedikt was a true find, according to everyone in the comments. Despite the fact that the show is in German, there are many English comments, demonstrating that good talent is valued worldwide.
