Dad and 3 sons melt Simon’s heart with cover of Everly Brothers hit

Move over, Jonas Brothers, because here’s the new brotherhood (plus one) the world will love! Meet The Neales – Phil, Dan, James Neil, and their father Laurie, who named their singing group simply using their last name. They’re proud to carry that name on their journey to fame. They captured people’s hearts when they joined the 9th season of Britain’s Got Talent.

Laurie and his sons had never performed in front of a big crowd before. Their “performances” usually happened in the comfort of their living room, singing their hearts out during karaoke nights, drunk or sober. But they were about to test their mettle on a bigger stage. Literally. The Neales walked in, and you could feel they were both excited and nervous. The four men looked dapper in their suits and a microphone at hand for each one.

They cued for the music to start, and all four were ready to show Britain and the world what they got!
They performed “When Will I Be Loved?” by the Everly Brothers. The moment they opened their mouths, the notes came out so fluidly.Oh, what a lovely harmony these four have! Their voices blended well, and it fits their ensemble. They didn’t need any fancy choreography, over-the-edge rifts, and runs. It was a simple yet soulful performance. It was time for the judges to vote, and they got a “yes” from each one!Judge David Walliams commended their “beautiful blend of voices,” and the other judges agreed on how touching the performance was.

When it was time to vote, even the hard-to-get-a-yes, Simon Cowell voted in their favor in a heartbeat. What a fantastic feat they achieved! The Neales deserved all four yeses because of their inspiring story. For some of us, it would often take a life-changing scenario to give us a wake-up call. Most of these moments are of tragedy, grief, and pain, which often reminds us that happiness is right before us, but we take it all for granted. This is the realization that Laurie had that carried them to this BGT performance. Laurie suffered from a heart attack which affected their family so much.It was then that he realized he’s been working most of his life, which took a toll on his health.

His sons agreed with that, and they didn’t want their father to keep working, especially now that they have individual careers. They want to do something to help their father achieve his lifelong dream.
They knew their father always wanted to be a singer and perform on stage. And what better way to do that than to join a popular reality talent show? They turned all that home karaoke talent to shock the world with how well they could sing individually and as a group. The Neales continued to wow the world in the show, reaching the season’s finals. It was the sons’ love for their father that brought them there.

They were glad to make their father’s dream come true and finally allow him to live the best of his days and life to the fullest.
