High School Dance Team Lines Up In Gym – Crowd Goes Wild When Lights Go Out

High school athletics are getting tougher and tougher these days, and all teams need something that will make their team stand out.

The Dodge City High School Drill Team recently came up with an ingenious way to stand out among other teams during a championship basketball game halftime performance, and it’s had them become viral sensations overnight!

The video below opens with the drill team take center court as a soloist in the group begins singing the famous Leonard Cohen ballad, “Hallelujah.”

Two girls soon join in singing as the rest of the team starts dancing.

At first, it appears as if this performance will be nothing out of the ordinary.

The most unique part of the performance seems like it is going to be the costumes, which are light up crowns and capes that turn into wings.

It’s only when the lights suddenly go out that the audience sees that this performance is going to be something special!

The music immediately switches from a soft ballad to a remix version and the girls’ costumes light up to create a magical light show to accompany the dance performance.

The way the female dancers move in their lit up costumes creates a sight that has to be seen to believe.

This has to be one of the most incredible high school performances that I have ever seen!

Video of their performance has quickly gone viral, being viewed over 535,000 times.

“This is better than super bowl halftime shows!” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Incredible. They need to on America’s Got Talent.”

Check out their performance for yourself below!
