Proud dad angers people after posting photos of his 14-year-old at work

Getting your first job is a milestone in a person’s life and something you always remember. Whether it is mowing lawns or babysitting, it marks an important chapter in your life as you learn responsibility.

A proud father posted pictures of his son at his first job. The father, Chris Crawford dedicated a post to his son, talking about how even some adults could learn from the young teen’s worth ethic.

He wrote in the post that his son had gotten a part-time job at Burger King. He goes on to talk about his son’s inspirational work ethic as the teen works every single day of the week, even on weekends. Saying that while other children his age were “enjoying their summer,” his son was making an honest living and he could not be more proud of him.

He talked about how his son chooses to go to work early and stays late too. He mentioned that he could not be more proud of his son and his achievements at this young age.

Crawford mentioned that his son loved every single minute of his job. The teen, according to his father, loves making his own money and being able to save for his own car.

Since the post, people on the internet have been divided in their opinions on the matter. While some believe it is a good age for a young man to learn about the value of money and saving it.

Others think it is much too young for a child to be so concentrated on work. The child should be a child in their eyes; not worrying about his work! These are formative years that they should enjoy by being a kid, according to some netizens.

The minimum working age in the United States is 14 years old for non-agricultural jobs. The hours children under 16 are allowed to work are also restricted by the government. The law also prohibits employing youths under 18-years-old for hazardous professions.

People were concerned about the young boy considering his father stated he works seven days a week! But according to Crawford’s post, the job is what makes his son very happy. And his son can be seen smiling in the pictures he has posted of him in his Burger King uniform.

Your first job always impacts you and is something you remember no matter how old you get!
