Keisha Nash, Ex-Wife of Forest Whitaker, Dead at 51 – No Cause of Death Revealed

Keisha Nash, married to Forest Whitaker for 22 years until 2018, has passed away, as confirmed by her daughter True Whitaker in a heartfelt Instagram Story tribute. The cause of death remains undisclosed, but it is revealed that Keisha battled anorexia for years and sought rehab in 2014. Forest filed for divorce in 2018 due to irreconcilable differences amid Keisha’s struggles.

Keisha and Forest, who met in 1994 during the filming of “Blown Away,” got engaged a year later and married in 1996 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They had two daughters together: Sonnet Noel Whitaker in 1996, now 27 and pursuing a music career, and True Whitaker in 1998, now 25 and aspiring in acting.

True, the youngest of their children, shared a poignant message on Instagram, expressing love for her mother, the “most beautiful woman in the world.” An accompanying black-and-white photo was posted along with a second picture paired with the song ‘A Song For You’ by Donny Hathaway.

Keisha, a multifaceted individual, launched a makeup company, Kissable Couture, in 2008, but admitted the challenges of juggling various roles as a mom, wife, entrepreneur, actor, and producer. In an interview, she acknowledged the difficulty of blending in while attending her children’s soccer games but credited her nanny for support.
