He was a legend in the 70’s

Bob Barker is still in this world. Yet he’s older than you might have imagined today. On December 12, 2022, he turned 99 years old.

Although 99 is a great age, Bob has had numerous health concerns throughout the years, so it’s amazing that he’s still in such good health in 2021. He’s had stitches, head and knee injuries from falls in his home, a stroke, a partially blocked left carotid artery, skin cancer, prostate surgery, and sutures.

He had a particularly difficult year in 2018, going into the hospital twice toward the end of the year due to excruciating back pain. He celebrated his 95th birthday in a subdued manner as a result.

His representative informed USA Today in 2018 that “He’s simply relaxing, and he’ll probably have some family come by.” He is still getting better from his back. He is developing. It’s a bit of a slow process because he’s 95 today.

Many admirers were worried about Bob’s health in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic, but TMZ claimed in March 2020 that he was adapting well to self-isolation at home in Los Angeles.

According to the tabloid, he has become more guarded around guests because of COVID-19, but his family has been feeding him and seeing to his medical needs. He is apparently lounging around and watching vintage films, many of which are wartime productions.

Bob last appeared on The Price Is Right in 2015 for an April Fools’ episode, but he still cherishes the program and spoke to People in August 2021 about commemorating the program’s 50th anniversary.

“When people ask me what I enjoyed most about my time with Price, the first thing that comes to me is, of course, the money!” Bob laughed.

Sincereally, there was a lot to love. During 35 wonderful years, I had the privilege of working with a committed and talented cast and crew. My ability to constantly remind our audience of the value of spaying and neutering your pets because to our enormous popularity was especially dear to me.
