WATCH: Ronna McDaniel To “Sue Everyone Who Defamed Her” After NBC Debacle

According to Hugh Hewitt, a conservative political commentator, former Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is planning, after her debacle of an attempt to work with NBC News, to sue all those involved in what she sees as a defamation campaign against her. That suit will, according to Hewitt, include her suing NBC News for “intentional infliction of mental distress.”

Such is what Hewitt claimed when he appeared Tuesday, March 26, on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report.” His appearance and comments on the matter came after NBC News decided not to bring McDaniel on as a contributor on the same Tuesday, saying that NBC staff members had “legitimate” worries and concerns about working with the former RNC Chair.

NBCUniversal Group Chairman Cesar Conde, in a Tuesday email to staff members, wrote, “There is no doubt that the last several days have been difficult for the News Group. After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor.” Conde continued, “I want to personally apologize to our team members who felt we let them down. While this was a collective recommendation by some members of our leadership team, I approved it and take full responsibility for it.”

Hewitt, in any case, torched the way NBC treated McDaniel and argued that she would sue all those involved in defaming her and thus, by ruining her reputation, ruining her attempt to work with the network. Beginning, Hewitt, who once was an NBC contributor, said, “Ronna is a friend, and I did work for NBC.”

Continuing, Hewitt added that this situation was exceptionally bad, saying, “I have never seen anything this brutal since I got started in media in 1990.” Then, describing what McDaniel will due in response, Hewitt said, “Ronna is going to sue everyone who defamed her, for breach of contract, for intentional infliction of mental distress. They are going to sue for the destruction of her business opportunities that come from being on TV. I think they made a terrible decision, and they allowed the MSNBC bleed to take over their network.”

Hewitt then obliquely predicted that McDaniel would win such suits, saying, “The cult has taken over the news division and it’s going to hurt.” He added that the network will have a hard time regaining any share of the GOP viewership after this debacle and the internal wokeness it shows, saying, “The 74 million people who voted for Donald Trump are not going to watch NBC News.”

Watch Hewitt here:

Former President Donald Trump, posting about the situation on Truth Social, said, “What boss or executive would allow a man or woman, in this case Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd, who was fired for dismal performance coupled with horrendous television ratings, to publicly SCOLD them as to their weakness & stupidity in hiring Ronna McDaniel.”

He added, “Actually, they should be scolded for hiring “Sleepy” for Meet the Fake Press, and keeping him on so long despite his poor performing skills, bad ratings, and bias. The sick degenerates over at MSDNC are really running NBC, and there seems nothing Chairman Brian Roberts can do about it. Watching Chuck Todd, of all people, viciously giving Roberts a piece of his small mind, and then berating him for hiring Ronna without his, or the other lunatics, approval, was just a step too far.”

Concluding his rip into NBC and Chuck Todd, Trump then said, “Brian’s great father would have fired Chuck Todd, and all the rest of these losers, on the spot. Perhaps Brian still will. If I knew Ronna was going to troubled MSNBC, I would have advised her to change her name back to Romney, she would have had a better chance!”
