Keith Urban Has Returned Home After Prostate Cancer Therapy

Keith Lionel Urban AO (born Urbahn; 26 October 1967) is an Australian and American singer, guitarist, and songwriter known for his work in country music.

Recognised with four Grammy Awards, Urban also received fifteen Academy of Country Music Awards, including the Jim Reeves International Award, thirteen CMA Awards, and six ARIA Music Awards.

Urban wrote and performed the song “For You” from the film Act of Valor, which earned him nominations at both the 70th Golden Globe Awards and at the 18th Critics’ Choice Awards in the respective Best Original Song categories.

Urban has released 11 studio albums (one of which was released only in Australia), as well as one album with the Ranch.

He has charted 37 singles on the US Hot Country Songs chart, 18 of which went to number one, counting a duet with Brad Paisley (“Start a Band”) and the 2008 single “You Look Good in My Shirt”.

Urban also worked with numerous artists from different music genres, such as Pink, Nelly Furtado, Jason Derulo, Julia Michaels, and country artists like Dolly Parton, The Chicks, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Eric Church, and Reba McEntire.

Last night, the paparazzi saw Keith Urban at Sydney Airport. This has led many people to think he may be the exceptional performer at Toowoomba’s “It’s A Bloke Thing” luncheon, which is highly anticipated.

Later that day, he touched down at Wellcamp Airport to a group of 500 excited people, each of whom had paid $1 to attend this one-of-a-kind event dedicated to raising awareness and funding for prostate cancer research.

This is a cause close to Urban’s heart; his father, Robert, died of the disease in December 2015, and several family members have also been affected.

Keith Urban, a well-known country singer-songwriter, recently returned to his home country of Australia to support the It’s a Bloke Thing Foundation.

Since its start seven years ago, this charity event has raised millions to fund prostate cancer awareness and research.

This great initiative received over $1.53 million in donations from compassionate people in the local community in 2017.

It is now regarded as one of the nation’s most effective midday fundraising programs.

Keith generously offered his talents for free, contributing to the lunchtime fundraising and helping it set a new record of $2,024,000.00.

His unselfish gestures of generosity contributed significantly to the event’s success, raising substantial money for the philanthropic cause.
