Jennifer Lopez was spotted in Positano, Italy, on Wednesday this week without the company of her husband, Ben Affleck, or her children. The 54-year-old singer did not post about the vacation herself, but images and videos of her walking around the island made their way to American media outlets.
Lopez was without the company of her family but was surrounded by several friends. The singer was seen walking around a resort before she boarded a boat and sailed away.
The trip comes amid speculation that 54-year-old Lopez is having marital problems with 49-year-old Affleck. The couple tied the knot in a small ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022. When rumors of their marital strife became unbearable, the couple stepped out on important occasions relating to their kids to show a united front.
Fans don’t seem too happy with Lopez’s decision to go on a vacation sans husband and other family. One annoyed fan wrote, “Is this her spending more time family that desperately needs her more than the tour?”
Another added sarcastically, “I’m Glad she is taking time to focus on her family.” Both fans were referring to the singer’s announcement about canceling her upcoming world tour, “This Is Me… Live.” The singer cited the need to be with her family and friends as the reason for the cancellation.
Another fan added with similar ire, “Idk how I feel bout this. her fans made sacrifices to get expensive ass tickets to her tour and then she cancelled. Now she on a yacht in Italy without her husband or kids.” While another disgruntled fan chimed in with similar emotions, “What happened to spending more time with her family and being heartsick?”

However, sources still claim that the couple is not doing well and actively trying to resolve all their issues.
“Ben and Jen don’t want to get divorced,” the source said. They added, “are saying they won’t, but their relationship is simply not working at this point. They aren’t done yet and want to fix things because they love each other, but they are also both unhappy.”
A source also shared that “Jen and Ben have been living separate lives but have not officially separated yet. At this point, they are just doing their own thing. They went into their relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven’t.”
The above information from the source came just days after Lopez and Affleck put their marital home on the market just 13 months after they had first bought it. The couple spent $60.8 million on the house when they bought it in May 2023.
While the rumors of separation are rife, Affleck and Lopez have been seen out and about together, and whenever they are spotted in public, they are still wearing their wedding rings. Lopez even took to her Instagram story this past weekend, to honor Ben for Father’s Day with a sweet post.
She shared a picture of Ben from the time of his movie, Pearl Harbor, sitting in a pilot seat. Over the picture she wrote, “Our Hero. Happy Father’s Day.”
While the couple do not have any children together, they have made a sweet blended family of their own. Ben Affleck is father to three children he shares with ex-wife actress Jennifer Garner. And Lopez has two twin children, she shares with ex-husband singer Marc Anthony.
