Elvis Presley’s 1962 private jet has finally been sold, and the interior is breathtaking.

Elvis Presley was well-known for more than just his incredible music career and distinctive voice, which mesmerized millions worldwide.

Additionally, he had a sharp eye for style and food (blue suede shoes, anyone?).

But not everyone may be aware of the fact that the rock icon also appeared to have mystical decorating skills. The iconic privately owned jet plane of the King of Rock serves as a good illustration of this.

In 1962, Elvis bought his own plane and insisted that it be tailored specifically for him.A glance inside reveals the stunning hardwood paneling, carpet, and crimson velvet chairs.

Elvis spent more than 35 years owning the aircraft, a Lockheed Jetstar type, but when he passed away in 1977, it was left unattended. Presley owned a number of private planes, of which this Lockheed was only one prominent example.

He had a modified Convair 880 in his fleet, popularly referred to as the “Lisa Marie,” and identified by its call sign, Hound Dog 1. Additionally, he was the owner of Hound Dog 2, another JetStar plane. Presley’s fleet of private planes was evidence of his opulent lifestyle and passion for flying.

In Roswell, New Mexico, USA, the airplane shown below had lain on a road for a considerable amount of time. The jet was ultimately put up for auction after all this time, and an Elvis enthusiast (?) recently purchased it over the phone for $260,000 in a Florida auction.

Together with his father, Vernon Presley, Elvis was in the aircraft when it first broke through the clouds.

Since Elvis Presley’s death, the plane has spent more than 30 years at a specific site in New Mexico. If you look closely at the plane’s exterior, you can see that the red color has been somewhat washed off. The plane is in decent condition, nevertheless, given its age.

Check out the inside… I don’t mind saying that I wouldn’t mind having a lengthy ride on this plane. It looks just as the King of Rock’s style would have in my mind.

The chairs are upholstered in plush red velvet, while the walls are covered in wooden panels.Of course, a “high-tech” television is fitted. One single, sizable room makes up the most of the plane. There is plenty of space for guests, and the seats appear to be very comfy. A tiny kitchen is located behind the main room.

Simply observe the microwave. After all these years, it most likely isn’t functional anymore. Imagine Elvis getting up from his chair, going to the kitchen, and putting together one of his signature peanut butter, mayonnaise, crispy bacon, and banana sandwiches before heating it in the microwave. Rock the past!

Check out the restroom! Of course, more velvet, and a sumptuous sink. Contrast this with the cramped accommodations provided on charter planes… Absolutely not awful, right?I’m very happy I got to see a glimpse of Elvis’ ideal traveling manner.

The plane has been sold at auction for $260,000. On January 8, it was put up for auction at the Florida Mecum Kissimmee Collector Car Sale.

The potential buyer placed telephone bids but has not been recognized.

Please feel free to forward this to any Elvis fans you may know!
