Of all the perks provided by the internet, life-hacks, tips,
tricks, and wisdoms that might otherwise be lost to the ages, are among my favorites.
Whereas once we had to rely on our parents and grandparents to pass
down information regarding little known techniques that could help
around the home, now we have an infinite resource at our fingertips.
Every day helpful information is shared online, and if you know where to look, you can benefit from it immensely.
Fortunately, we do know where to look, which means you do to (by association),
and we recently stumbled upon a home-hack that weâd never seen before.
It involves toilet paper and your refrigerator â an unlikely
combination, we know â so read on if weâve managed to pique your interestâŚ
If youâre anything like me, youâll leave it far too long before you think to give
your refrigerator a proper clean. Iâm forever opening my fridge door to less-than-pleasant
smells after leaving my house for a few days, or finding sticky
patches where somethingâs spilled and I havenât cleaned up properly.
Which is why I did a double-take when I saw a particular life-hack doing the rounds on the internet recently which.
Now, Iâm sure Iâm not the only one who experiences a musty smell
upon opening the fridge from time to time. When this happens,
itâs more often than not caused by the fridge itself, not whatever food happens to be inside.

As difficult as it is to believe, thereâs an extremely simple solution the problem involving toilet paper.
Placing a roll of toilet paper in the refrigerator might not seem like
an obvious thing to do for, well⌠anyone, but thanks to its absorbent properties
â itâs literally designed to soak up moisture, of course â itâs reportedly great for removing odors.
Put simply, placing a roll of toilet paper in the fridge creates a trap
for any excess moisture and smelly particles, turning the refrigerator into a fresher space.

Needless to say, a roll of toilet paper is far cheaper than
household cleaning products, so youâve an added bonus there too!
I guess now youâll know whatâs going on if you ever see your respective other placing toilet roll in the fridge.
