Television icon and game show host dies aged 83

Television icon and host Chuck Woolery would be remembered as one of the most beloved TV figures of game shows.

Woolery, knows as the first host of Wheel of Fortune passed away aged 83 following an illness. The news was confirmed by his long-time friend Mark Young who posted on X, “It is with a broken heart that I tell you that my dear brother @chuckwoolery has just passed away. Life will not be the same without him, RIP brother.”

As reported by TMZ, Young told the outlet that Woolery “said he wasn’t feeling well and went to lie down.” Later, Woolery returned and mentioned that “he was having trouble breathing.” Young then claimed that 911 was called but “he didn’t make it.”
