Trump was sworn in as the 47th U.S. president in an inauguration ceremony on January 20, marking his second term with the Republican party.

Biden and his wife, Jill, hosted the president-elect and Melania Trump at the White House in the traditional ceremony symbolizing the change in America’s leader.After months of speculation regarding Biden’s health, the 82-year-old pulled out of the presidential race in July, stating it was ‘in the best interest of my party and country.’

He later endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his replacement.Trump won 312 electoral votes, making him the next president of the United States.Since being sworn in, he has taken no time carrying out executive orders and reversing many of Biden’s policies.
