Pope Francis, 88, has been hospitalized since February 14, 2025, due to double pneumonia. As of today, he continues to rest and work from his bed at Rome’s Gemelli University Hospital, receiving therapies including motor physiotherapy and respiratory therapy

Despite his hospitalization, Pope Francis remains engaged in his papal duties. He expressed gratitude towards volunteers and healthcare workers for their “miracle of tenderness,” acknowledging the care he has received.

For the fourth consecutive Sunday, he missed his weekly blessing, but provided a message extending thanks to those supporting the sick.

Cardinal Michael Czerny led the Holy Year Mass for volunteers in his place.
