Boy Spends Last Money on Fruits for Sick Granny, Store Owner Visits Her Later

Tyler, an 8-year-old boy, wanted to help his grandmother, Martha, who was in the hospital. Knowing how much fresh fruit had helped him recover from an illness, he decided to buy a selection of fruits, including oranges, to help her fight pneumonia. Tyler had saved up $42.50 in his piggy bank and rushed to the local grocery store to buy the fruits. However, when he handed the money to the cashier, he realized he was $14 short.

Instead of accepting the fruits for free, Tyler proposed a riddle challenge to the store owner, Stella. He said if she couldn’t answer, she would have to pay him $14, but if she did, he would ask his father for the extra money. Stella agreed, and after a few guesses, she couldn’t answer the riddle, and Tyler left with the fruits for his grandmother.

Later, at the hospital, Tyler proudly shared the story with Martha, who was deeply moved by his selflessness. Just when they were enjoying the fruits, Stella appeared at the hospital to thank Tyler personally. She revealed that she was so impressed by his generosity and determination that she would take care of all of Martha’s medical expenses and provide a weekly supply of fruits for Tyler.

Stella also explained that the riddle Tyler had asked her was the same one her grandmother had taught her before passing away. She had carried the memory of that riddle—and her grandmother’s love—with her all her life, and Tyler’s actions had brought back those memories in a deeply meaningful way. It was a full-circle moment of kindness and love, and Stella’s gesture was a heartfelt way of honoring the bond between Tyler and his grandmother. READ MORE BELOW
