Father needed support during the wake…

The tragic loss of an entire family shook the community of Sidrolândia, Mato Grosso do Sul. Relatives, friends, and residents gathered to pay their final respects to Drielle Leite Lopes and her three children: Helena, 10, João Lúcio, 2, and José Augusto, just 3 months old.

The family died in a devastating accident on the BR-060 highway on Sunday night, between Sidrolândia and Campo Grande. The wake was held at the city’s City Council, where emotions ran high, with grief, shock, and anger deeply felt among those who knew them.

Drielle and her children had been visiting her mother to share joyful news—they had recently bought their own home. The excitement of this milestone made the tragedy even more heartbreaking for the community.

Family members struggled to accept the sudden loss, and the atmosphere at the wake was heavy with sorrow. The accident claimed the lives of four loved ones, leaving a void that will be deeply felt for years.

Neighbors and local residents expressed their condolences and shared stories of the family’s warmth and kindness. Many described the family as full of hope and dreams for the future.

As Sidrolândia mourns, the tragic event serves as a reminder of how fragile life can be, and how quickly happiness can turn to grief.

The community continues to support the grieving family and honor the memory of Drielle and her children, whose lives were cut far too short.
