Taylor Swift is arguably the biggest music star in the world right now, capable of drawing tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of fans to any city where she performs. Her meteoric rise has been compared to that of Elvis and The Beatles.
However, even Swift isn’t immune to the occasional wardrobe malfunction.
Last weekend, the 34-year-old singer performed three sold-out shows in Stockholm. An estimated 150,000 to 200,000 fans flocked to the Swedish capital, with some traveling from as far as the US.
As with everything Swift has touched lately, her Eras Tour performances turned into gold, earning rave reviews and further fueling the hype.
Despite the success, there was a moment during her third night in Stockholm that reminded everyone she is indeed mortal, as she experienced a minor wardrobe malfunction in front of the packed arena.
According to reports, just as the megastar artist was about to sit down at the piano, the blue
dress she was wearing opened up, revealing the gold bralette and sparkly black shorts she had on underneath.
Ever the consummate professional, Swift quickly refastened her
outfit as she sat down to deliver a moving rendition of her never-before-played-live hit “How Did It End?”
While this could have been a minor blip—let’s face it, other artists have faced far worse on-stage mishaps—the internet being what it is today, the incident quickly became a topic of widespread discussion.

In no time, the clip of Swift’s
dress popping open made its way to TikTok, where some individuals were ready to critique the “Bad Blood” singer.
“Her shorts look like a diaper. So unflattering,” one person wrote on Facebook.
“Those look like granny panties…look good on her 😂,” said another on Instagram.
A third speculated that the star might even be pregnant. “Hmm…🤔 looking kind of round on the lower abdomen. Is she trying to tell us something?” they wrote.
“It looks intentional,” a fourth commented on the
dress slip.
Somewhat harshly, a fifth wrote: “Well she is used to taking her
clothes off soo.”
Inexplicably, a sixth added: “She’s a hot mess [and] has been!”
“Has been” is most definitely wide of the mark, as are virtually all the other criticisms mentioned above. Sadly, there’s not much to be done about the negative rumblings of detractors in such situations, but it’s clear that Taylor Swift has moved beyond caring about such comments.
