Michelle Obama Turns Heads Over ‘Weekend Outfit’, Some Call It ‘Inappropriate’

Originally reported in January 2018, Michelle Obama and her daughter Malia were spotted enjoying a relaxing weekend on Miami Beach. The former First Lady and her eldest daughter appeared carefree and happy as they walked along the beach, joined by friends and accompanied by Secret Service agents.

Michelle Obama, then 53, wore a white bikini top paired with high-waisted white denim shorts and a long white blouse as a cover-up. She completed her casual beach look with a bandanna, large hoop earrings, and carried her shoes as she strolled barefoot through the sand.

Malia, dressed in a tan hoodie with black bikini bottoms visible, walked alongside her mother carrying sneakers, her phone, charger, and a book. The pair were seen enjoying a peaceful and low-key day at the beach, with no sign of former President Barack Obama, suggesting a girls-only outing.

Later that evening, Michelle and Malia were seen leaving their hotel for dinner at Prime 112, a well-known steakhouse in the Miami area. Malia wore a black and white romper and smiled for cameras, while Michelle had changed into a chic dinner outfit featuring flowing trousers, a green tank top, and a blue cardigan, accessorized with layered necklaces and a black handbag.

Notably absent from the outing was Sasha Obama, which led to speculation about her whereabouts. Interestingly, the previous year around the same time, Sasha had visited Miami Beach with friends, a trip that also gained public attention.

At the time, Malia was on winter break from Harvard University. The family had spent the holidays together in Hawaii, and with Harvard’s spring term starting on January 22, she was expected to return to campus shortly. Barack Obama had recently shared in an interview how emotional he was when dropping Malia off at college for the first time.
