The family barbecue came to an abrupt halt when Gloria noticed her son Marcus packing large amounts of food into containers for his wife Vanessa and her mother, Diane, to take home. Furious that guests who had criticized her home and hospitality were now helping themselves to several days’ worth of food, Gloria calmly but firmly told Marcus to put everything back. Diane tried to dismiss the situation, claiming they were simply saving Gloria the trouble of dealing with leftovers.
